Community Governor - Appointed 6 November 2019
When I first came to look round Walton Primary I could immediately tell it was a very warm and caring school that was committed to the all-round well-being of it’s pupils. I now have 3 children at the school, all of whom are really enjoying their time here.
I decided to become a Governor in order to give something back, sharing my skills, experiences and interests to support the school’s continued success. I believe a child’s time in school should be as happy and fulfilling as possible, providing them with the skills and experiences to flourish in adulthood.
I have worked in the arts for 20 years and am currently an independent theatre producer. I also run an organisation which delivers arts projects for vulnerable children who struggle to engage with mainstream arts activities. My particular skills include funding, project and budget management, arts development and creating supportive environments which enable young people to thrive.
